Due to our continuous expansion, we are looking for a:
Mechanical Engineer for Gas Turbine Package
The mechanical engineer for Gas Turbine Package is accountable for all mechanical and process engineering aspects of Gas Turbine Package equipment.
In particular he/she:
is responsible for the mechanical design of Gas Turbine Package (including auxiliary systems, such as lubrication oil system, gas supply system, instruments air system, filter structure, starting motor and gearbox, pumps and valves);
co-operate with mechanical designers, electrical engineers and project managers to engineer a complete package for power generation;
oversee the work of the draftsman and work in a team within the department group to prepare gas turbine drawings (plant layouts/mechanical interface drawings/foundation loads drawings, process flow diagrams and P&ID’s)
cooperate with Supply Chain department, suppliers, workshop and customers (when required) during project execution to provide support on any technical issue
create bill of material (BOM) for production and generate purchase orders
Issue purchase specification for project specific components (Oil cooler, enclosure fans, gas line components, Fire detection and extinguishing system, filter structure ancillary etc)
supports the sales organization during negotiation phase;
performs technical analysis of the signed contracts, to identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks;
assists the Project Manager during project execution
manages the project document list for the Gas Turbine package scope
collects supplier documentation and issues the customer documentation for the Gas Turbine package scope
interfaces with local Notified Bodies (i.e.TüV)
supports the field activities with technical consultation during installation and commissioning of the plant
interacts with PG Project Managers, PG Project Engineers, Supply Chain, external suppliers, our final customers, company internal experts and site installation and commissioning people
In addition the mechanical engineer for Gas Turbine package shall be capable to:
work as a lead engineer (i.e. lead complex projects) and coordinate other project engineering disciplines
explore 3rd party engineering contractors
write technical specifications to subcontract detailed engineering
validate offers and negotiate with 3rd party engineering contractors
follow up the detailed engineering executed by 3rd party engineering contractors
Requirements:
Education in mechanical and/or process engineering
5 to 8 years’ experience, ideally Power Generation projects execution with focus on Gas Turbine either with OEM or EPC;
Expertise in mechanical and structural analysis, thermodynamics, fluid-dynamics
Good knowledge of the engineering instruments used in the field of thermal power generation engineering (P&ID's, thermodynamic cycles, heat and mass balances preparation, etc.)
General knowledge of the control principle of a Gas Turbine package
Participation in HAZOP studies and technical risk analysis
Multidisciplinary approach keeping on schedule the activities of the various disciplines
Fluency in English, Italian language is a benefit. German or another language like Spanish and French will be a plus
Able to work at ease in multi-cultural and interdisciplinary environment
Strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, as well as good interpersonal skills. Self-starter, operates with minimal instruction
Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
Travel time: 20%
The following skills shall be considered as a “plus”:
Knowledge of Windchill
2D/3D Drafting capabilities (Autocad and CREO/SolidWorks)
Knowledge of PDM (Product Data Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
Knowledge of American and European Norms related to Gas Turbine Package
Knowledge of EU Directives and basic of CE marking requirements for Machinery Directives, ATEX, PED;
Knowledge of Business Compliance
Site experience (with reference to installation of steel structures, plant components, instrumentation, piping, cabling, commissioning activities, execution of performance tests in power plants, …);
Previous experience in the execution of thermal power generation plants, preferably combined cycle and cogeneration power plants.
Preparation of technical specifications (HRSG’s, gas and air compressors, gas and steam reduction stations, steam turbines, cooling towers, chillers …)

Base Minimum Pay:
Kč1,162,644.00
