About the Role
Commercial Operations Specialist CPQ & Process Improvements
📍 Location: London, ON - Hybrid
The Commercial Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting our Sales and Service teams by improving commercial systems, quoting tools, processes, training, and documentation. This position serves as the Commercial business owner and functional expert for our enterprise CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platform, ensuring users have the tools, support, and processes they need to serve customers effectively.
Working closely with Sales, Service, IT, and business leaders, you'll help drive system enhancements, process improvements, user enablement, and operational excellence across the commercial organization.
What You'll Do
Serve as the Commercial business owner and functional expert for the enterprise CPQ platform.
Support users by troubleshooting issues, managing access, and ensuring efficient quote generation.
Gather business requirements and partner with IT to prioritize and implement enhancements.
Manage enhancement and defect backlogs, testing, and validation of system changes.
Maintain SOPs, process documentation, training materials, and support resources.
Deliver user onboarding, training, and ongoing support.
Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across Sales and Service.
Partner with commercial leaders to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
What Success Looks Like
Sales and Service teams can quote faster and with fewer delays.
Commercial tool issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
Processes are documented, adopted, and consistently followed.
Enhancements are prioritized based on business value.
Users have access to strong training, documentation, and support.
Qualifications
Experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Business Systems, Process Improvement, or a related field.
Experience supporting commercial systems, quoting tools, user administration, testing, and issue resolution.
Ability to translate business requirements into practical process and system improvements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Experience with CPQ, CRM, ERP, quoting systems, or commercial proposal processes.
