Reports To: Director of Facilities & Housekeeper Supervisor 

Working Hours: Friday, Monday & Tuesday (2pm to 8 pm) 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Job Type: Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable living environment. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be trustworthy, and have a proactive attitude toward household cleanliness and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchen areas
• Organize closets and other storage spaces 
• Take out trash and recycling
• Restock household supplies (toilet paper, detergents, etc.) 
• Occasional deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., inside oven, fridge, baseboards)
• Reports any damage, burned-out light bulbs and plumbing problems to the maintenance or housekeeping department.
• Must be courteous and friendly to Members, guests and employees.
• Must be able to work rapidly during rush periods and follow requests from Managers.
• Employees must notify their immediate supervisor/Manager of any products that are low in inventory.

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions 
• Attention to detail and time management skills 
• Trustworthy, respectful, and discreet 
• Physically capable of performing cleaning duties (lifting, bending, standing)

Qualifications:

• Experience with handling laundry and delicate fabrics
• References from previous employers or clients
• Basic English communication skills

Education :

• Highschool diploma or equivalent. 

Physical Requirements:

Standing and Walking:

•  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per shift).
  Frequent movement between rooms and floors. 

Lifting and Carrying:

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 25–50 lbs, such as laundry baskets, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning supplies. 

Bending, Kneeling, and Reaching:

• Regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach overhead or below waist level to clean various surfaces and spaces. 

Repetitive Motion:

• Repetitive hand and arm movements while scrubbing, dusting, or folding laundry. 

Climbing:

• May occasionally need to climb a small ladder or step stool to clean high areas (e.g., ceiling fans, upper shelves). 

Fine Motor Skills:

• Ability to handle small items (e.g., folding linens, operating spray bottles, using buttons/zippers on machines). 

Visual and Hearing Requirements:

• Must be able to visually inspect cleanliness and hear instructions or alarms (e.g., laundry timers). 

Environmental Tolerance:

• Work around cleaning chemicals (with proper protective gear).
  Tolerance for varying temperatures (e.g., laundry rooms, open windows, or AC settings).

The employee must possess general knowledge and experience in all areas of the custodian/housekeeping job. Must possess a high school education. Must present a neat appearance and pleasant personality. The manager will schedule all work assignments and additional duties. The employee does not perform additional duties without the Manager’s involvement and approval.
