Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $17.18 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
