grow fast and go far. Are you in? We are looking for a Test and Finish Equipment Engineering Intern or Co-Op for our Equipment Engineering Operations Engineering team. At the end of the internship, the successful candidate will be able to (1) Drive safety (2) Debug and troubleshoot complex backend semiconductor test equipment and its peripheral equipment
supporting the back-end test processes. (3) Drive continuous improvement and (5) work independently. Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Sustaining Support : Maintain a high-profile presence on the manufacturing floor to provide hands-on sustaining support to operators and technicians Equipment Commissioning : Operate and commission complex backend semiconductor test and finish equipment and run qualification experiments Process Optimization : Design and execute experiments to define and establish optimal equipment operating parameters Troubleshooting : Resolve mechanical and assembly screening process issues using structured root-cause and problem-solving techniques Continuous Improvement : Participate in Lean/Six Sigma projects and implement floor-level improvements with hands-on application SPC Integration : Support and implement statistical process control data collection and analysis on the manufacturing floor Documentation & CAD : Create CAD drawings, fixtures, and maintain process and qualification documentation Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Education: Minimum 2-3 years progress toward a BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or related field Experience: Hands-on experience or coursework in manufacturing equipment operation, commissioning, or shop-floor support Technical Tools: Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks and comfortable with MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint Analytics: Familiarity with SPC and basic statistical tools; JMP experience preferred Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to use structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis techniques Soft Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to train operators and convey technical information across levels Eligibility: US citizen or permanent resident required for export-controlled documentation access Additional information Infineon Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
