Description

  The eCommerce Launch & Performance Specialist sits on the sales team and owns the full product launch lifecycle on Amazon — from pre-launch readiness through go-to-market execution and post-launch performance tracking. As the channel expands to additional marketplaces, this role grows with it.


You'll work cross-functionally to bring new products to market the right way, ensuring positioning, content, and data are informed by real Amazon insights before launch, and that performance is measured, understood, and acted on after.


This role reports to the eCommerce Channel Manager and requires in-office collaboration Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.


You have already accomplished (required):

  • 2–4 years of Amazon Vendor Central or Seller Central experience with direct involvement in growth driving tactics (Promotions, Advertising)
  • Understanding of Amazon SEO, search visibility, and ranking factors
  • Comfortable with category intelligence tools such as Profitero or Helium 10
  • Strong analytical skills; able to build and interpret performance reports
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple launches simultaneously
  • Proactive communicator who can coordinate across teams and operate with minimal oversight

Key Job Duties

Pre-Launch Readiness

  • Conduct keyword and competitive research to inform product positioning, pricing, and content strategy ahead of launch
  • Analyze the Amazon landscape to identify category trends, white space, and search behavior relevant to new product launches
  • Share Amazon search trends, customer review themes, and competitive positioning with Marketing to help strengthen campaign messaging
  • Review competitor listings, customer reviews, and Q&A to surface insights that sharpen positioning and anticipated objections
  • Provide recommendations on title, bullet, and keyword strategy to inform content development
  • Partner with the eCommerce Sales & Operations Specialist, who owns ASIN setup and catalog configuration, to ensure insights are translated into execution

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Coordinate launch timing and sequencing across internal teams and agency partners
  • Execute the promotional plan for each new product launch, including VINE enrollment, promotional offers, and deal strategy to accelerate early review and sales velocity
  • Partner with the advertising agency to ensure new products are flighted into campaigns at launch — including sponsored placement strategy, budget allocation, and keyword targeting recommendations
  • Support Enhanced Content and Brand Store updates tied to new product introductions
  • Identify early merchandising opportunities: virtual bundles, multi-packs, cross-sells, and placement strategy
  • Ensure launch assets and deadlines are met across all stakeholders

Post-Launch Performance Tracking

  • Monitor and report on growth and velocity KPIs: sales velocity, traffic, conversion, Buy Box, and review acquisition
  • Track keyword rankings, category share and search visibility to assess launch effectiveness
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend adjustments to content, pricing, or advertising strategy
  • Deliver structured launch recaps and ongoing performance reporting to the eComm Channel Manager

Category & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor category trends and competitor activity on an ongoing basis to identify white space and timing opportunities
  • Track keyword trends to inform both launch strategy and in-flight optimization
  • Review customer reviews and Q&A post-launch to surface product or content gaps

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to share insights of product and category performance
  • Communicate launch status, risks, and performance insights proactively with audits
  • Partner with the eCommerce Sales & Operations Specialist to ensure healthy listings and help troubleshoot suppression issues
  • Partner with the eCommerce Launch & Commercialization Specialist to ensure smooth handoff from launch into ongoing catalog maintenance
  • Support eComm Channel Manager with daily operations as needed
