About the Role
As a Travel PACU / Anaesthetic Registered Nurse at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, you will play a key role in delivering safe and effective perioperative care. Working across Anaesthetics and Recovery, you will support patients before, during, and immediately after surgical procedures while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary theatre teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care within Anaesthetic and PACU settings
- Assist anaesthetists during induction, maintenance, and emergence phases of anaesthesia
- Monitor and assess patients during post-anaesthetic recovery
- Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and postoperative complications
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and perioperative multidisciplinary teams

What you’ll need
- Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in PACU and/or Anaesthetic nursing
- Demonstrated ability to care for patients throughout the perioperative journey
- Strong clinical assessment and recovery nursing skills
- Australian working rights (contract role – no sponsorship available)
