Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Perform daily on‑site safety observations, verify that OSHA regulations and SAS Site Safety Programs are being followed. Participate in graded fieldwalks, pre‑task‑plan reviews, Tier I Category B audits, and inspections.
Attend contractors & vendors safety meetings, contribute to the Safety‑related Task Force Team (TFT) and other EHS support activities.
Incident Response: Serve as the first responder for all on‑site injuries/incident reports. • Conduct initial investigations, gather critical information, and document findings promptly.
Scaffolding Oversight: Act as a Scaffolding Competent Person – inspect scaffolding systems and provide OSHA‑compliant sign‑off.
Compliance Assurance: Execute Tier I audits and inspections per the EHS Tiered Audit Program (EHS‑090). Identify non‑compliances, escalate them appropriately, and ensure supporting documentation is completed for closure.
Leading Safety Metric (LSM) KPI: Review and approve LSM actions and projects across multiple EHS programs on a quarterly basis. Track progress against KPI targets and report outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
Minimum 7+ years in Health & Safety roles.
Associate of Science degree (preferred).
Pursuing a recognized safety credential (e.g., CHST, CSHO, ASP, etc.) is a strong plus.
Hazardous Materials & Regulations – Solid understanding of hazardous‑material handling, associated regulations, and NIOSH standards.
Management System Standards – Working knowledge of: OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 50001 (Energy Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
OSHA – Familiarity with OSHA regulatory requirements and reporting guidelines.
Microsoft Office – Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
