Job purpose:

The QM Team Leader is tasked with overseeing and executing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) inspections at both active and completed sites to ensure full compliance with current NPA policies, Standard Operating Procedures and DMA Iraq National Mine Action Standards. It is essential that the QM Team Leader consistently upholds a high standard of appearance and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

General responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the Operations Manager (OM), oversee and perform both quality assurance and quality control operations.

Specific duties:

• Visit NPA operational clearance sites to supervise and carry out quality assurance and quality control measures, ensuring thorough and precise reporting.
• Complete and document QM verification checks at the conclusion of each NPA task site.
• Organize and keep up-to-date documentation pertaining to all quality management procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of QM team members.
• Carry out any additional tasks or assignments as instructed by the OM
• Produce monthly QMS analyses and identifying weaknesses and areas for improvement
• Support OM with implementation of Operations related trainings

Required qualifications:

Must have:

• Successful completion of the NPA Enhanced Manual Mine Clearance (EMMC) Course.
• Successful completion of the NPA EMMC Team Leader Course.

Education:

• Diploma and/or High school as minimum or any relevant higher education.
• Good computer skills and experience in MS Office applications.

Desirable:

• Proficient in English written and verbal.
• BAC course.
• LLD Course.
• Basic Drone operator user (Internal NPA Qualification).
• NPA EOD II (Theory).
• A comprehensive understanding land release principles.
• Valid Driving license with actual practical driving experience, manual and automatic vehicles.

Experience:

Must have:

• At least 12 months experience working within NPA in an operational capacity.

Desirable:

• Experience as QM TL/searcher.

• Systematic and organized in approach, with ability to work on own initiative including accuracy, consistency, attention to detail, tenacity and the ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to adapt to difficult and complex conditions.
• Excellent health.

The Quality Management Team Leader  is to abide by the policies and personal code of conduct set by Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and represent the organisation in a loyal and responsible manner.

• The Quality Management Team Leader shall have the willingness and ability to travel within the country.
• Strictly adhere to NPA’s rules regarding the confidentiality of information.
• Geographical understanding of the area of operations.
