Technical Account Director (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

Key individual accountabilities (responsible, accountable)

• Be the technical twin of the global account director (GAD) in all customer activities.

• Intense relation management w/ customer engineering incl. early involvement and implementation of market differentiation strategy. Develop customer relationship plan & gap closure.

• LEAD pursuit technical decision & present to top management explaining our tech challenge, product maturity and Gap closure plan

• DRIVE inputs to the global product organization by defining the product skeleton and architecture to meet customer expectations and Go To Market needs

• Be customers voice and systematically collaborate for and with the global product organization incl. early involvement to facilitate use of platforms to meet OEM needs, pursuit alignment, and top management reporting.

• Systemized collaboration with global engineering organization incl. early involvement to facilitate proper staffing.

• Develop & Drive technical pursuit plan from Pre-Engagement to RfQ

• Lead customer feedback (e.g. technical presentations) & closure confirmation

• Consolidation of cross-product OEM needs to identify further product/business Opportunities

Pre-Engagement phase

• Lead consolidation of prelim solution inputs & USPs / Confirm alignment of

solution to product roadmap, collaborate with global product

 RFI Phase

• Control customer ‘wish list’ impact to product solution

• Lead cross-functional technical solution delivery

• Drive closure of solution gaps

• Drive promotion of market differentiators/USPs       

RFQ phase

• Define customer direction and solution concept for RFQ

• Maintain alignment of quoted solution to product roadmap

• Lead consolidation of RFQ deliverables incl. solution, costing, compliance

matrix, deviation list

• Deliver platform deviation plan / Ensure quality and timing of deliveries /

Support process approvals

• Reflection / lessons learned cross pursuit teams

• Work hand-in-hand with the GAD in all customer related activities.

• Develop customer pursuit strategy with the GAD and support with the most competitive

offer to the OEM.

• Work with global product team to do the right product at the right time at the right cost

• Drive re-use across OEMs

Your background:

• More than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry as a technical manager,

customer solution manager or similar position

• Cross-competency knowledge acquired during product development

• Strong knowledge of human nature

• Very well organized and adaptable

• Team motivation through communication

• Assumption of responsibility
