Position Summary:

This is a clinical Medical Assistant phone position (call center) supporting our primary care physician offices, triaging calls from patients and providing messages for follow-up to the physician or office. Must have prior medical assistant experience or training to appropriately assess patient's needs and provide an excellent candidate experience. Will handle a high volume of calls in a call center environment, located in the Wells Fargo building at 4875 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale FL 33308.

We are offering a $4000 Sign-on Bonus for a Certified Medical Assistant for qualified candidates!  Various office locations available in Broward County.  Typical office hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm (hours may vary by location).

What you will do:

• Answer high volume patient phone calls supporting a primary care office(s) in a call center environment.

• Accurately access patient's concerns or questions and follow-up appropriately

• Send messages through EPIC to the office for response or provide the appropriate support to patient's depending on the nature of the concern

What you will need:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Successful completion of an accredited clinical Medical Assistant - MA program or equivalent clinical experience

• Prefer current Medical Assistant Certification from a national agency: NCCT, NHA, AMCA, NAHP or AAMA; or a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through AMT  

• Current BLS through the American Heart Association

• Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred

• Good customer-skills to provide an excellent patient care experience

• Ability to handle high volume of phone calls and assess clinical needs of patient to respond appropriately
