We are seeking a talented, licensed Pharmacist to join our MercerWell team at Marsh. This role will be based in Manilla. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Pharmacy Consultant, you will impact patient outcomes by working as part of the clinical team responsible for assisting in the management of complex clinical cases that often result in evaluation of high-cost claimants. You will serve as the pharmacy subject matter expert for internal and external clinical partners collaborating on cases and providing education on specialty medication management. The role requires a strong understanding of specialty medication products, site- of- care redirection, channel management, medical necessity and prior authorization criteria, utilization management strategies, complex disease management and an understanding of the pharmacy medication pipeline. 

We will count on you to:  

• Act as the specialty pharmacy resource for your assigned clinical team(s) to assist in the identification and management of potential and actual high-cost claimants (HCC). 

• Interpret pharmacy data reporting shared by the benefit administrators and leverage this information for selection of HCC cases for review. 

• Establish effective carrier/vendor relationships with assigned book of business to successfully represent Mercer and to serve our clients. 

• Participate in Pharmacy Practice meetings and ensure Mercer's point of view on effective pharmacy clinical management strategies is effectively communicated. 

• Communicate Mercer's point of view on effective clinical and pharmacy management program models and strategies to manage potential and actual high-cost claimants. 

• Bring natural curiosity, an entrepreneurial mindset and a continuous quality improvement approach to evolve and enhance the clinical and pharmacy strategy and delivery of assigned book of business. 

• Interpret claims and other data reports leveraging this information to effectively manage assigned book of business. 

• Lead case discussions with the benefit administrators’ account executives and clinical teams to identify strengths and opportunities in how the case is being managed and offer suggestions to shape the course or impact the cost of the member’s care moving forward. 

• Synthesize available data, develop engaging reports / presentations, effectively present results to clients in a clear and constructive manner using formats that allow for tracking results over-time to support continuous process improvement. 

What you need to have:  

• Active, unencumbered PRC issued Pharmacy license. 

• At least 5+ years relevant work experience in clinical pharmacy. 

• Ability to navigate MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) to produce client deliverables. 

• Prior experience working with US healthcare system, performing clinical program audits or working with specialty medications and high-cost claimants. 

• Clinical acumen to evaluate specialty medication regimens, make evidence-based recommendations and suggestions to shape the course of the member’s care moving forward. 

• Proven organizational skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment working independently and leading small teams. 

• Strong communication skills with ability to share highly technical information in a non-technical fashion; strong business writing skills.
