Counter Sales Manager – Dallas

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

Winston Water Cooler is seeking a Counter Sales Manager to lead our Dallas counter sales operation. This role is responsible for creating a professional, welcoming, and sales-focused customer experience while leading and developing the counter sales team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can build strong customer relationships, coach employees, identify sales opportunities, and continuously improve the counter operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and hold the counter sales team accountable for customer service, professionalism, sales, and performance.
• Create a welcoming, knowledgeable, and proactive customer experience that encourages repeat business.
• Drive counter sales through add-on sales, complementary products, promotions, and identifying customer needs.
• Establish and monitor sales goals, KPIs, and performance standards.
• Ensure employees are knowledgeable about products, pricing, promotions, and sales opportunities.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Partner with outside sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Operations to improve customer service and sales.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and visually appealing counter and showroom.
• Monitor inventory availability and communicate customer needs or product gaps to the appropriate teams.
• Identify process improvements and opportunities to increase counter traffic, revenue, and customer retention.
• Provide leadership with regular updates on performance, opportunities, and challenges.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in counter sales, inside sales, retail, distribution, or customer service, preferably in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, dependable, proactive, and hands-on leadership style.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards.
• Experience with plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, or related distribution products is a plus.
