Department Overview
In-house Network Promotion Section is responsible for service planning, sales promotion, operation, and improvement, with the mission of growing products centred on the home internet services ‘Rakuten Turbo’ and ‘Rakuten Hikari’ and acquiring more users.
Within this, the Business Planning Group is the organisation that handles product strategy and promotion planning.
Both the home router “Rakuten Turbo” and the fiber-optic service “Rakuten Hikari” leverage Rakuten Group's big data to explore and implement various initiatives.
Furthermore, as a telecommunications provider, we can expand services through enhanced features (such as AI utilization).
Specifically, “Rakuten Turbo” launched in 2023 as a new service utilizing the Rakuten Mobile network. As mobile communication technology advances and network quality improves, it is expanding its market share year by year as next-generation home infrastructure.

Position Details
As the Head of Home Internet Business, you will lead multiple teams to drive a core service aimed at positioning us as the No.1 mobile company.
This role is over 80% management focused.
- Executive Decision-Making & SupportDirect business operations and support executive decision-making.
Manage and analyze KPIs to design and execute business strategies.
- Marketing Strategy
Formulate pricing plans and promotional campaigns to drive sales.
Design and execute sales strategies leveraging the ecosystem's strengths.
Oversee data science initiatives analyzing customer, market, and competitor trends.
- Product Planning & Operations
Develop new services, menus, and manage overall service operations.
Define business requirement specifications for service feature enhancements.
Optimize operational efficiency across all business areas.Plan and implement initiatives to improve customer support and experience.
- Team ManagementManage a division of approximately 20 professionals.
Oversee direct sub-units including Business Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Product Management.
Work Environment
- Team Size: Around 20 members.
Demographics: Average age in the 30s. Many members have diverse career backgrounds outside the telecom industry.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Proven track record leading business or service planning from conception to execution.
- Extensive experience in people management and organizational leadership.
- Business-level English proficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
- Professional experience in the telecommunications or networking industry.
