Our brand, Lennor Metier Consulting, a DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a leading chemical manufacturing and supply chain solutions company in their search for a Purchasing Assistant based in Taguig City.
Salary Range: TBD
Work Setup: Onsite
Shift Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Taguig City
The role
The Purchasing Assistant will support procurement operations by handling supplier coordination, purchase order processing, and monitoring of deliveries to ensure the timely availability of materials, supplies, equipment, and services needed by the company.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily purchasing activities, including sourcing, canvassing, and processing of procurement requests.
- Prepare and monitor Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, order confirmations, availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Source suppliers and assist in evaluating quotations based on cost, quality, lead time, and other factors.
- Monitor supplier deliveries and follow up on pending orders to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, quotations, POs, invoices, and related documents.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Finance, Accounting, Warehouse, Logistics, and Operations for purchasing-related transactions.
- Assist in supplier performance monitoring, negotiations, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide updates on order status and deliveries.
- Perform other purchasing-related duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related role.
- Knowledge of supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, PO processing, and delivery monitoring.
- Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ERP system experience is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Willing to work on-site in BGC and travel to company sites, warehouses, or project locations as needed.
