WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Assistant Casino Manager is responsible for assisting the Casino Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the table games department. This includes managing table game dealers, monitoring game activity, and ensuring a high level of customer service. The Assistant Casino Manager will also assist in implementing and enforcing casino policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervise Table Game Operations: Assist in the daily management of table games, including blackjack, roulette, poker, craps, and other games. Ensure the efficient operation of all tables, monitor dealer performance, and resolve any operational issues that may arise.
Staff Management: Supervise and schedule table game dealers, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand. Provide training, coaching, and feedback to dealers to enhance their skills and professionalism.
Customer Service: Ensure that guests receive exceptional customer service at all times. Address customer concerns and resolve disputes promptly and professionally. Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere on the gaming floor.
Compliance: Assist in enforcing all gaming regulations and casino policies. Monitor table games for compliance with gaming laws and regulations. Report any violations or suspicious activity to the Casino Manager and relevant authorities.
Inventory and Equipment: Maintain inventory of gaming equipment, chips, and supplies. Coordinate with the Casino Manager to ensure proper maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
Table Game Performance: Analyze table game performance, including revenue, occupancy, and player behavior. Provide recommendations for adjustments to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
Security: Collaborate with casino security to ensure the safety and security of customers, staff, and assets. Follow security protocols and emergency procedures as necessary.
Training: Assist in conducting training sessions for new dealers and ongoing training for current staff to ensure they stay updated on game rules and procedures.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of table game transactions, player ratings, and other relevant data. Prepare reports for management as required.
Budget Management: Assist in managing the table games department budget, including labor costs, supplies, and other expenses. Make recommendations for cost-saving measures when appropriate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises Dealers.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in table game operations and supervision within a casino environment.
Strong knowledge of various casino table games and gaming regulations.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of casino management software is a plus.
Must meet all licensing and background check requirements.
At least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.\
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
Must regularly lift and/move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
