Our pediatric services are integral to our health system and continue to grow as we seek to provide exceptional care to our surrounding communities.We are seeking an experienced, board-certified General Pediatrician to join our vibrant Pediatric team of 9 Pediatricians, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and 1 Psychologist at our residency teaching clinic Geisinger Pediatrics Woodbine clinic located in Danville, PA.
Job Duties:
The ideal candidate is energetic and collaborative, loves teaching, and is committed to outstanding patient care and educational excellence.
The Department of Pediatrics provides the full range of inpatient medical and surgical subspecialty services, including pediatric hospitalists, critical care, nephrology, gastroenterology, cardiology, genetics, infectious disease, and the full spectrum of pediatric surgical subspecialties. We have active outpatient services including outreach clinics in general and subspecialty pediatrics. The successful applicant will participate in, and contribute to, the department’s established clinical and scholarly activities.
Teaching and mentorship responsibilities include medical students from several affiliated institutions, and residents in our fully accredited categorical Pediatric and Internal Medicine/Pediatric residency programs.

- Fully integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR), allowing physicians easy access to patient registries, test results, electronic prescribing, etc.
- Part of a highly collaborative Pediatric Service with direct access to tertiary resources and full array of subspecialists at Geisinger’s Janet Weis Children’s Hospital
- Ambient AI technology to assist with note completion
- Academic appointment and advancement at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine
Position Details:
Janet Weis Children’s Hospital (JWCH), located on GMC’s campus in Danville, is the region’s only dedicated 5-floor, 91 bed children's hospital with a full-service hospitalist and intensive care services. JWCH’s team of medical and surgical specialists provide care in over 30 pediatric specialties, including a 41 bed Level IV NICU and 14 bed Level I PICU. JWCH provides medical malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
