Job Summary
Provide all necessary and required under-wing ground support services as contracted by the customer toinclude but not be limited to loading and unloading baggage and cargo, marshalling, water and lavatoryservicing
Your activities
Ramp Services :
• Marshall aircraft during arrival and departure• Unload passenger luggage and air cargo, bulk and/or containers/pallets, onto carts and/or dollies• Unload wheelchairs and child strollers and deliver to designated location• Provide special handling of luggage/cargo as required/directed• Deliver passenger luggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system• Deliver air cargo to appropriate recipient• Drive and/or operate ground support equipment to include tow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders,container loaders, baggage tugs, water/lavatory service trucks, aircraft ground power units, aircraftair start units, air stairs, aircraft de-icing units, baggage carts, cargo dollies and passenger vans.• Collect and load mail, live animals, wheelchairs and child strollers onto aircraft• Service aircraft water and lavatories• Inspect ramp areas adjacent to gate and aircraft for debris and remove/dispose of when found.• Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager
• Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements• Other duties as assigned
PRM Services :
• Transport passengers with reduced mobility and unaccompanied minors within the Terminal(departure, transfers, and arrivals) with highest safety• Respond to passengers requiring special needs and plan accordingly to stay equipped with resourcesahead of time (wheelchair, ambulift,…)• Assist passengers as needed through arrival and check in processes including support for passengerswith special needs such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers and passengers needingwheelchair assistance• Assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers and gate checked bags (clearedthrough security) are made available for loading upon departure and delivery to passengers uponarrival.
Ramp Services Lead Agent :
In addition to his/her role as a Ramp Services agent a lead agent motivate, engage and inspire staff to deliverthe best possible passenger handling service as well as maintain excellent relationships with customers andauthorities.
• Supervize/control staff assignments including reporting, absences, overtime and compensation• Plan and deploy resources to ensure that we are collectively successful by producing rosters in line withcustomer agreements and operational requirements• Develop an open feedback culture by managing the performance of employees and ensure the deliveryof training to the required standard• Ensure compliance with all Swissport corporate safety and security procedures in order tomeet/exceed regulatory standards deliver the desired customer service experience• Maintain, up-to-date company’s and customer manuals and documentation• Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels. • Support the implementation of the Safety Management System and the Quality System according to ISO9001 Standards;• Report any event related to non-compliance of the Safety Standards to the QHSE
Your profile
- Bac or Niveau Bac +2 or Equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Ramp Services Agent
- Radiocommunication, phonetic alphabet
- SPI, sercurity and DGR Standards and procédures
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Self motivated
- Attentive to detail and team work
- Must be able to follow instructions and work safely within limited time frames
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work in inclement weather
