Our client, a recruitment agency specializing in therapy and healthcare-related placements, is seeking a driven and highly tenacious Candidate Engagement Specialist to join their team.

The primary focus of this role is to proactively engage and re-engage therapy professionals who have previously expressed interest in employment opportunities, whether recently or in the past.

This is not a passive recruitment role. We are looking for someone who is confident picking up the phone, starting conversations, overcoming hesitation, following up consistently, and selling the value of available opportunities to prospective candidates.

You will work extensively with an existing candidate database, identifying potential candidates across multiple therapy disciplines and turning previous or current interest into meaningful conversations and active applicants.

Key Responsibilities

• Work through an existing database of therapy professionals who have previously expressed interest in employment opportunities.

• Proactively contact candidates via phone, email, SMS and other communication channels.

• Re-engage candidates who may not have been contacted recently or whose circumstances may have changed.

• Build rapport quickly and understand each candidate's current employment situation, preferences and career motivations.

• Present and confidently sell relevant job opportunities to prospective candidates.

• Generate excitement and interest around available positions.

• Handle candidate questions, concerns and objections professionally.

• Follow up consistently with candidates who are undecided or not immediately available.

• Identify candidates who may be suitable for current or upcoming therapy positions.

• Maintain a strong pipeline of engaged and interested candidates.

• Update candidate records accurately within the recruitment database/ATS.

• Track outreach activity, responses, follow-ups and candidate interest.

• Work closely with the recruitment team to understand current vacancies, priorities and candidate requirements.

• Meet agreed outreach, engagement and candidate conversion targets.

Experience

• Previous recruitment, candidate sourcing, candidate engagement, telesales, business development or high-volume outbound calling experience is highly advantageous.

• Experience recruiting within healthcare, therapy, education or a related sector would be beneficial but is not essential.

• Experience working with an ATS, CRM or candidate database is preferred.

• Strong telephone-based sales or recruitment experience will be particularly valuable.
