Medical Phone Operator

ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.

We are seeking a Medical Phone Operator to support our busy clinical office in Lakewood, CA.

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:30pm

Pay: $23-25/hr

Responsibilities:

• Answering multiple phones lines and responding to patient inquiries
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments and follow-up visit
• Greet and check in patients
• Verify insurance coverage and demographic information
• Collect patient payments and communicate fees due
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments and follow-up visits
• Route messages to appropriate staff members

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 1 year of managing phone lines in a clinical setting
• Bilingual, required
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of medical insurance
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population
