The opportunity

Asset Securitisation (ASec) is one of the core product teams within ING's Global Capital Markets platform and forms part of Capital Markets & Advisory. We advise, structure and execute securitisation solutions for leading European corporates, financial institutions and asset originators across a broad range of asset classes, including auto and lease, consumer finance, RMBS and other ABS formats.

Our team works closely with clients as well as colleagues across Capital Markets & Advisory, Sector Coverage, Risk and Legal to deliver tailored financing solutions.

As a Junior Associate, you will contribute to the origination, structuring and execution of securitisation transactions across Europe. You will be part of lean deal teams, working alongside experienced originators and structurers while taking ownership of defined transaction workstreams and contributing directly to transaction delivery.

The role offers significant exposure to complex transactions, client interaction and technical structuring, providing an excellent platform for deepening expertise within Asset Securitisation and Capital Markets & Advisory.

Your responsibilities

As a Junior Associate, you will:

  • Contribute to the origination, structuring and execution of public and private securitisation transactions across a range of asset classes, including auto ABS, consumer ABS and RMBS.
  • Take ownership of transaction workstreams and coordinate deliverables across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare transaction analyses, financial models, rating agency materials, presentations and marketing documentation.
  • Analyse asset portfolios, transaction performance and structural features to support transaction execution and client discussions.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of term sheets, transaction documentation and internal approval materials.
  • Participate in interactions with clients, legal counsel, rating agencies, investors and other advisers throughout the transaction process.
  • Monitor developments in securitisation and capital markets and contribute to market, pricing and investor insights.
  • Support transaction-related risk, regulatory and governance processes.
  • Contribute to market intelligence initiatives, process improvements and the ongoing development of the Asset Securitisation franchise.
  • Support the development of Analysts and interns within deal teams.

What we are looking for

You are intellectually curious, proactive and interested in building long-term expertise in securitisation and capital markets. You enjoy working in a team environment, take ownership of your work and are comfortable operating in a dynamic, deal-driven setting.

In addition, you bring:

  • A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in capital markets, securitisation or another structured finance product area.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, combined with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting the execution of financing transactions and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with an interest in leveraging digital tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and the quality of analysis; experience with financial modelling and Bloomberg is an advantage.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to continuously develop technical expertise.
  • Sound judgement, integrity and awareness of risk and regulatory considerations.
  • Fluency in English.

What we offer

At ING, you'll work in an international and collaborative environment where you can make an impact from day one. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of clients, asset classes and transaction structures while working alongside experienced professionals across Capital Markets & Advisory.

We offer:

  • An opportunity to join one of Europe's leading Asset Securitisation platforms.
  • Direct exposure to complex and high-profile securitisation transactions.
  • A dynamic international working environment with significant client interaction.
  • Ongoing professional and personal development opportunities.
  • The chance to build deep expertise in securitisation and structured finance within a leading Capital Markets & Advisory franchise.
