Are you a Registered Nurse looking to broaden your oncology experience while enjoying the benefits of Monday-to-Friday hours?

GenesisCare is now looking for a Registered Nurse to join our close-knit team at our Joondalup Oncology Centre.

This is a part-time position, working 7 days a fortnight across both Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology. You’ll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care and support to patients throughout their treatment.

More specifically, you will:

• Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring patients’ physical, emotional and psychological needs are met.
• Support patients receiving Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology treatments, including patient education, clinical assessment, symptom management and monitoring and management of treatment-related side effects.
• Undertake direct patient care including medication administration and wound care in accordance with clinical protocols and scope of practice.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, nursing colleagues, Patient Services and allied health professionals.
• Ensure patient assessments, interactions and interventions are appropriately documented, communicated and actioned.
• Contribute to best-practice oncology nursing through adherence to clinical guidelines, procedures and medication management protocols.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Ideally, a minimum of 2 years' post-graduate nursing experience.
• Oncology experience is highly regarded, but not essential – we are happy to support the right nurse to develop their oncology skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
• Well-developed clinical assessment, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to quality improvement, best practice and the NSQHS Standards.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Wound care experience would be advantageous.
• Confidence using electronic clinical systems and Microsoft Office.
