Marlin & Doris Thomas Memory Center at Willow Valley Communities

Join our founding team at the Memory Center! Start dates for these positions are anticipated between December 2026 and January 2027.

At Willow Valley Communities, we believe a dementia diagnosis does not define a person. The new Marlin & Doris Thomas Memory Center was created to reshape how dementia is viewed and experienced by focusing on dignity, purpose, connection, and meaningful living.

We're seeking engaging, hospitality-driven individuals to join our team as Bartenders at our brand new BBQ restauraunt, Home Plate. More than serving beverages, you'll help create memorable experiences in a welcoming environment where Residents, families, guests, and Team Members can gather, connect, and enjoy exceptional service.

Position Details

Schedule:

  • Part-Time
  • 2-3 days/week
  • 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM (closing time varies based on business needs)
  • Schedule could vary and may include:
    • Weekends
    • Holidays

Pay:

  • $10.00-$12.50/hour, based on experience + tips

What You'll Do

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service while creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere for our Residents and guests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests and taking beverage orders
  • Presenting drink menus, making recommendations, and answering questions about beverages
  • Mixing cocktails and beverages according to company standards
  • Ensuring timely, accurate, and friendly service
  • Checking guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchases
  • Building relationships with guests and recognizing regular patrons
  • Following all cash handling procedures
  • Maintaining a fully stocked and organized bar area
  • Serving snacks and light food items to bar guests
  • Preparing drink garnishes
  • Washing and sterilizing glassware
  • Demonstrating extensive knowledge of food, beverage, menu, and promotional offerings
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Performing other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • At least one year of bartending experience
  • An outgoing personality and positive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Ability to build relationships with Residents, families, guests, and Team Members
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for creating memorable guest experiences
