Language Quality & AI Specialist (Europe - Fully Remote)

We're currently looking for a **Language Quality & AI Specialist** to join our Language Talent Team. In this role, you will manage quality processes across human and AI-assisted localization, including recurring AI evaluation and linguistic asset management programmes. You will work closely with the Global Head of Language Talent on quality frameworks, priorities, and continuous improvement.

## Tasks

**As a Language Quality & AI Specialist, you'll own the language quality lifecycle across human and AI-assisted workflows. You will:**

• Evaluate linguistic quality using industry frameworks and standards such as MQM, ISO 5060, ISO 17100, ISO 18587, and client-specific scorecards.
• Run recurring AI quality evaluation cycles: calibrate evaluators, validate findings, and track improvement from one round to the next.
• Design, maintain, and improve validation and evaluation workflows across multiple TMS platforms and MT/AI engines.
• Apply a risk-based approach to quality by defining quality tiers and estimating effort based on content type, sensitivity, and business impact.
• Assess the health of translation memories, termbases, and style guides, and coordinate maintenance with linguists and technical teams.
• Handle client and internal feedback cases, making objective, consistent, and well-documented quality decisions.
• Track quality KPIs, spot trends and root causes, and propose data-driven improvements and AI-enabled workflows.
• Prepare structured quality analyses and feedback reports for linguists, internal teams, and clients, working with the Global Head of Language Talent.
• Act as the go-to quality contact for key clients, contributing to style guides, termbases, onboarding materials, and quality guidelines.
• Work with the Client Solutions & Support team and linguist teams to align quality expectations, workflows, and improvement actions.

## Requirements

**Essential:**

• Fluency in English.
• Linguistic degree (translation, linguistic studies).
• 3+ years of experience owning language quality in the localization industry.
• Strong multilingual awareness: a solid understanding of i18n/l10n/g11n across markets, fit-for-purpose content solutions, and how languages work, including ones you don't speak.
• Strong quality expertise: hands-on experience with quality frameworks and standards such as MQM, ISO 5060, ISO 17100, and ISO 18587, and with assessing, maintaining, and improving language assets such as translation memories, termbases, and style guides.
• Strong language technology awareness: hands-on experience with TMS platforms, MT engines, and AI tools, and the ability to evaluate their output, judge fitness for purpose, and use findings to improve quality and reduce risk.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills: including confidence with spreadsheet analysis, clear documentation, and presenting findings to clients and external stakeholders.
• Strong ownership and sharp eye for detail: the ability to manage recurring quality work independently, set priorities, and stay objective and consistent in your assessments.
