Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Low Voltage-Licensed, is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, CCTV, and network cabling. This role involves performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards. The technician collaborates with project teams, provides technical support, and maintains accurate records of all activities. About the team:
The Facility Services General Maintenance team ensures Walmart facilities operate safely and efficiently through routine maintenance and timely repairs. Collaborating across departments, the team manages equipment, tools, and resources to uphold quality and safety standards. Members provide technical guidance, support, and training to maintain operational excellence while following established procedures and regulations. Continuously enhancing skills and processes, the team plays a key role in sustaining a reliable environment that supports Walmart’s commitment to high standards and dependable service delivery.
What you'll do:

• Install, configure, and support low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/visual, and network cabling.
• Perform cabling tasks such as running, terminating, labeling, and testing per project and industry standards.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing to ensure system reliability.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system faults and performance issues promptly.
• Repair or replace damaged components to restore optimal system operation.
• Evaluate and upgrade existing systems for improved performance and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports on system activities.
• Provide technical support and training to end users.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely, high-quality project completion.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles safely and in compliance

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, CCTV, and audio/visual equipment.
• Strong ability to run, terminate, label, and test cabling per technical specifications and industry standards.
• Skilled in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving system faults to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Effective communication skills to provide technical support and training to end users and collaborate with team members.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards, and accurate documentation of work performed.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

High school diploma or equivalent.
Hold and maintain jurisdiction-required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work (reciprocal license may apply and licensing requirements vary by state).
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations within the last three (3) years.
Commercial driving record with no preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle within the last three (3) years.
Commercial driving record with no serious traffic violations, as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, within the last three (3) years.
Ability to successfully complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and obtain medical certification valid for at least one (1) year.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related technical trade. Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Experience in local electrical codes and standards.
