JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Materials Management Associate I supports basic materials handling, inventory control, shipping/receiving and restocking activities. This entry-level role works under close supervision and follows clearly defined procedures to ensure timely and accurate material flow in support of laboratory, production, and operational needs.

 

Shift: Mon-Fri 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Location: Onsite in Phoenix, AZ

Essential Duties

 

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

·       Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials in designated locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.

·       Operate equipment essential to job duties, including forklifts, electric jacks, cherry pickers, and other machinery specific to the site.

·       Place goods in designated storage areas and restock lab supplies as needed.

·       Fulfill internal material requests and deliver materials to appropriate locations.

·       Support basic inventory transactions and data entry in SAP/EWM.

·       Assist with packaging and preparing outbound shipments, including compliance with DOT and IATA hazardous materials regulations.

·       Accurately document receipt, storage, and shipment records.

·       Ensure adherence to GMP guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety requirements.

·       Escalate inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or other issues per escalation protocols.

·       Engage in cross-training and continuous skill development.

 

Minimum Qualifications

·       High school diploma/GED and 1+ years of relevant experience; or associate degree in logistics, business, or related field.

·       Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills.

·       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet.

·       Ability to obtain forklift certification.

·       Drive company vehicles and comply with driving record monitoring requirements, where applicable

·       Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

·       Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

·       Prior experience in warehouse or material handling role.

·       Exposure to SAP, EWM, or other ERP systems.

·       Experience in GMP or biotech environment.

 

     

The base pay for this position is

$14.85 – $29.65/hour

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
