E/I Estimator

Engenda Group are looking for an electrical estimator to join our core Runcorn estimating team. You will be working within a small but dedicated team of estimators, working on tenders and bids for work in the energy, chemical, utilities, renewables and major infrastructure industries.

                                                              

Hours: 40 + flexi time

Salary: £45,000

Car allowance / Company Car

 

You will:

·  Support the estimating team with tenders from feasibility through to EPC/EPCm opportunities, developing your estimating skills across a range of projects.

·  Assist with reviewing ITTs/RFQs, drawings and specifications to understand project scope and build up accurate estimates.

·  Develop labour, material and subcontractor costs, learning how to build estimates, BoQs and pricing schedules.

·  Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations, helping identify costs, risks and potential value engineering opportunities.

·  Work with estimators, project teams and clients through tender queries, site visits and clarifications.

·  Build your knowledge of estimating processes, commercial considerations and industry standards, with ongoing support and development from the wider team.

 

 

To be successful, you will have:

 ·  An electrical engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant electrical trade background.

·  Practical experience within electrical engineering, industrial construction, maintenance or a similar environment.

·  A good understanding of electrical systems, installations, drawings and specifications, with an interest in developing your estimating knowledge.

·  Good numerical, organisational and IT skills, with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.

·  A willingness to learn, develop commercial awareness and take on increasing responsibility within the estimating team.

·  Knowledge of industrial environments, with exposure to COMAH, ATEX, CDM Regulations or similar standards being beneficial.
