Resource Technician IIThe Resource Technician II works closely with the Resource Technician I to support the day to day functioning of the Gilmore Center and other meeting, learning and event locations of the Bronson system. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers by providing training and assistance with audio/visual equipment, video/audio conferencing, and the resource scheduling system throughout the Bronson system. In addition, the Resource Technician II works closely with the Resource Specialist to support users, trouble shoot issues with equipment and software. Assist with catering and primary back up for BMH Catering in the absence of the Catering Coordinator.
Process reservation requests for classrooms, computer labs, other conference rooms for the Bronson system, and special accommodations from internal and external customers. Assists manager with office duties, including resource emails, resource scheduling training, training, and other duties as assigned. Responsible for room set-ups; cleaning and maintaining the Gilmore Center and other areas as assigned.
High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Two years of successful progressive experience in the area of A/V equipment, virtual meeting software, equipment/software vendor communication, or equivalent applicable experience required.
- Advanced knowledge in software; WebEx, wireless video/audio connectors, video editing, TurningPoint Technology, scheduling system, Microsoft office, audio/video conferencing, system resource scheduling, other software as assigned
- Must have advanced knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot AV equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and master scheduling software.
- Collaboration with Information Technology
- General familiarity of end user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the AV, videoconference, in a healthcare delivery environment
- Ability to work with end user to problem solve in a short timeframe
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly and courteous customer service behavior
- Assist with deployment of new training resources and processes
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable
- Ability to setup and record video conferencing throughout the Bronson system
- Must be able to travel by personal vehicle to multiple locations throughout the system

- Must have a valid driver’s license, and qualify for coverage under Bronson driving insurance
Work which rarely produces a high level of mental/visual fatigue, i.e., less than 20 percent of the work time.
Involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.
Exceptional customer service skills with superior oral and written communication skills necessary to consult with customers, manage projects, conduct presentations, and tactfully manage sensitive situations. Must be able to interact with end-users to gather the information necessary to diagnose, address, and document their audio/visual issues. The employee must consistently negotiate and act on deliverables and timeframes with stakeholders (end-users, peers, etc.), take ownership of issues, and respond to issues within expected timeframes.
- Serves as an escalation point within Meeting & Event Resources for troubleshooting and resolving AV-related problems
- Assists organization wide Hardware and AV Support teams with setups
- Perform assignments by Meeting & Event Resources to other departments for event support
- The ability to set up and operate audiovisual, videoconference, and live event equipment, including but not limited to: microphones, speakers, monitors, projectors, video cameras, recording equipment, AV cables and wires, mixing boards, and relevant software
- Provides/performs training for WebEx, MondoPads, resource software, virtual meetings, and additional AV equipment for Bronson System, as needed
- Processes the reservations for room resources, audiovisual equipment, and special accommodations for customers
- Administrator for room, catering, and AV scheduling software.
- Serves as the primary back-up for catering coordinator
- Influences standards for virtual meetings
- Support team for system activities as assigned
- Maintains and updates Room Resources Internet and Intranet Webpage.
- Back up and supports Resource Technicians
- Responsible in assisting customers with all AV equipment, such as but not limited to laptops, speakerphones, projectors, the MondoCenter System and Creston audio and video systems. As new equipment and technology is introduced, the Resource Technician II will add those to their skills and be able to support others.
- Responsible for any and all resources setup in room and ready for customer utilization for error free events/meetings
- Responsible for videotaping setup and video recording
- Assists customers with scheduling system, audio/video conferencing, resource scheduling, other software as assigned
- Assist the Resource Specialist with AV preventative maintenance, virtual meetings, implementation of AV equipment
- Responsible for troubleshooting AV equipment and virtual meeting technology, often under pressure before or during customer events and meeting
- Responsible for assigning specific room configurations, set up of rooms, and care of the conference center, and other meeting and event areas throughout Bronson system
- Process reservation requests for classrooms, computer labs, other Bronson conference rooms, and special accommodations from internal and external customers
- Composes/develops routine memos, correspondence, and written materials to communicate plans and programs
- Operates industrial cleaning machinery
- Other duties as assigned
