Join a collaborative rehabilitation team dedicated to helping patients achieve their highest level of function and independence. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and support patient recovery across a diverse population.This position offers the opportunity to work with patients in a variety of clinical settings, including geriatrics, neurological rehabilitation, pregnancy and post-partum care, and acute care. We are seeking a well-rounded clinician who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centered care and enjoys working with individuals across different stages of life and recovery.
The PTA may assist in developing treatment plans, document patient progress, and modify treatment interventions within the established plan of care and state practice guidelines. Success in this role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trust with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
What You'll Do:
Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Support patients recovering from neurological conditions, acute illnesses or injuries, post-surgical procedures, pregnancy and post-partum conditions, and age-related functional limitations.
Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment outcomes with the rehabilitation team.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Serve as a clinical instructor and mentor for students as assigned.
Ideal Background:

EDUCATION:
Other: Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
PTA-Registered Physical Therapist Assistant
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
Department - SCAH: Auto Insurance
Department - SCAH: DL-Valid Drivers License
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
1 year of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Critical thinking and problem solving, decisive judgement and ability to work within scope of practice.
Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements.
Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.
