Weekend Shift Machinist

 

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Weekend Shift Machinist role in Cincinnati, OH. Pay: $28–$34 per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities:

· Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision components according to specifications.

· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and machining instructions.

· Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.

· Make necessary machine adjustments, including speeds, feeds, tool offsets, and other machining parameters.

· Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify finished parts meet specifications.

· Monitor machining operations to identify equipment issues, tooling wear, or out-of-tolerance conditions.

· Perform in-process inspections and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.

· Maintain accurate production, inspection, and machining documentation.

· Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

· Promptly report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.

 

Qualifications:

· Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, Manual Machinist, or similar precision machining role.

· Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.

· Experience setting up and operating machining equipment independently.

· Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.

· Understanding of machining fundamentals, including speeds, feeds, tooling, offsets, and tolerances.

· Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to producing quality work.

· Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments during production.

· Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a manufacturing team.

· Ability to work Weekends on a consistent basis.
