What You'll Be Doing
The Operations Associate II-Fixed Income Settlements is responsible for aiding in driving departmental results by ensuring accurate and timely exchange of money and securities for fixed income securities, as well as additional tasks which could require more experience and expertise to perform. This position requires a sound understanding of the settlements process while serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders. This role will require strong collaboration among team members, account liaisons,and other departments under direct supervision.
What We're Looking For
- Accurately perform daily reconciliation/balancing of internal accounts while adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines provided by leadership.
- Proficiently process trade settlement through platforms such as DTCC and/or Bank of New York, as well as additional higher level tasks for the department.
- Analyze and resolve failing trades by identifying root causes of delays and implementing corrective actions to ensure timely settlement.
- Apply foundational knowledge of fixed income settlement regulations to issue buy-in and sell-out notices in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential problems or issues that fall outside of standard procedures and provide leadership with ways to improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills within the department and to key stakeholders.
- Provide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively both within a team and outside of the department.
- Assist in the advancement of both departmental and firm wide initiatives when needed.

- Ability to assist in training both new and existing associates on departmental processes regardingthe advisory account services processes.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum Required: 2+ years professional business related experience.
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- BETA and LSEG T1.
- DTC and/or Bank of New York (BNY).
