Description
Reporting to the Manager, Social Strategy & Influencer Partnerships, this role is responsible for daily publishing, community management, content creation and editing, platform maintenance, and other operational needs across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and emerging channels. The Associate will bring Moda's social strategy and content calendar to life, balancing proactive community engagement and day-to-day channel management with the creation of original, platform-native content.
This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role for someone who is deeply immersed in luxury fashion, social media and the creator landscape, with a strong understanding of what drives conversation and engagement across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Publishing & Channel Management:
- Execute day-to-day publishing across Moda Operandi's social channels, including in-feed posts, Stories and other platform-specific formats.
- Manage the daily execution of the social content calendar under the direction of the Manager, Social Strategy & Influencer Partnerships.
- Write and format captions in accordance with Moda's established brand voice and social guidelines.
- Ensure all product links, tags, handles, credits and other publishing details are accurate and functioning correctly.
- Coordinate and prepare vendor-provided, editorial and internally produced assets for publishing.
- Maintain an organized view of upcoming content needs, assets and deliverables, proactively flagging gaps or issues to the Manager.
- Support ongoing platform maintenance and other administrative needs related to the day-to-day operation of Moda's social channels.
- Own day-to-day community management across Moda's social channels, proactively engaging with audiences to grow and strengthen the Moda community.
- Manage daily community engagement through BrandBastion and native social platforms, responding to comments and interactions in accordance with established brand voice and community guidelines.
- Proactively engage with relevant creators, brands, editors, tastemakers and industry conversations to increase Moda's visibility, engagement and connection to the broader fashion community.
- Identify opportunities to deepen community engagement and surface emerging conversations, trends and audience behaviors to the Manager.
- Support the execution of evolving community strategies, including opportunities around user-generated content, reposting and other audience participation initiatives.
- Escalate sensitive comments, customer service matters, reputational concerns or potential issues to the Manager and Director of Strategic Communications as appropriate.
- Track community trends and recurring feedback, sharing relevant insights with the Manager to inform broader social strategy.
- Capture and edit original photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms, creating platform-native assets that reflect Moda's luxury brand aesthetic and social strategy.
- Create short-form video, Reels, TikToks, Stories and other original content in support of the social calendar.
- Capture content at Moda events, fashion weeks, editorial shoots, brand activations, in-office moments and other relevant opportunities.
- Attend select photoshoots and productions to capture behind-the-scenes and social-first content.
- Support the execution of custom branded content, creator collaborations and other partner-led social initiatives.
- Work closely with the Manager to prioritize original content opportunities based on platform needs, audience insights and broader business priorities.
- Stay closely attuned to emerging social trends, creators, sounds, formats and platform features, bringing forward relevant opportunities for Moda.
- Monitor competitor and industry activity to identify emerging social behaviors and creative opportunities.
- Support testing of new content formats, platform features and community engagement tactics under the direction of the Manager.
- Organize and maintain social content libraries, raw footage, edited assets and other social materials.
- Coordinate assets and information from internal teams and external partners to ensure content is ready for timely publication.
- Maintain efficient workflows for content production, approvals, publishing and community management.
- Support social reporting and campaign recaps by gathering platform metrics and other relevant performance data.
- Qualification/Ideal Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-4+ years of experience creating social-first content for a luxury fashion, beauty, media or lifestyle brand, publisher or agency.
- Demonstrated experience capturing on-site content during fashion weeks, editorial shoots, events, brand activations or similar fast-paced environments.
- Strong photography, videography and mobile-first content creation skills.
- Advanced editing skills for short-form social video, including Reels and TikTok, with proficiency in editing platforms such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software.
- Understanding of platform best practices across Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest.
- Knowledge of the luxury fashion industry, creator landscape and evolving consumer behavior.
- A highly creative visual storyteller with a strong eye for composition, pacing and luxury aesthetics.
- Passionate about fashion, social media and creating content that feels native to each platform while maintaining Moda Operandi's elevated brand identity.
- Constantly following creators, trends, editing styles and emerging social formats.
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments, including backstage at fashion week, photoshoots, events and brand activations, often capturing content in real time.
- Exceptionally organized and able to balance multiple projects, deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring captions, product links, tags and publishing workflows are accurate and polished.
- Collaborative, adaptable and eager to contribute creative ideas while taking direction from the Manager, Social Strategy & Influencer Partnerships.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work with minimal oversight.
Salary: $45,000 - $57,000 per year, based on experience + Discretionary Bonus
