In your daily job you will:
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications and system components using C and C++.
Develop, enhance, and debug Linux device drivers and low-level system software.
Work on hardware bring-up, board support packages (BSPs), and software-hardware integration activities.
Design and implement solutions on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, QNX, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to kernel, drivers, networking, and system performance.
Lead a team of engineers by providing technical direction, mentoring, code reviews, and project guidance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Architecture, Quality Engineering, and Customer Support.
Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architecture and technology decisions.
Drive software development best practices, quality initiatives, automation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Support customer escalations and help deliver timely solutions for critical issues.
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
Contribute to innovation and continuous enhancement of Wind River products and technologies.
Technical Expertise and Qualification Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
8+ years of experience in embedded software development.
Strong programming expertise in C and C++.
Extensive hands-on experience with Linux Device Driver Development.
Solid understanding of Linux kernel architecture, system programming, and debugging techniques.
Hands-on experience working with at least one Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) such as VxWorks, QNX, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Integrity, or similar.
Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Experience with board bring-up, BSP development, hardware-software integration, and low-level system programming.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using tools such as GDB, JTAG, kernel tracing, and performance analysis tools.
Familiarity with ARM, x86, or other embedded processor architectures.
Understanding of networking protocols, virtualization, and embedded system design principles.
Experience working in Agile development environments and CI/CD workflows.
