JOB SUMMARY
The AVP – FP&A India plays a critical role in the execution and quality of Revantage’s enterprise-wide financial planning and reporting processes. The role brings senior-level rigor and ownership to the Bengaluru office — driving accuracy from data input through final deliverable, raising the standard of work product, and ensuring assigned processes are executed with the same discipline and accountability expected across every Revantage office.
Key Responsibilities
Process Ownership
- Own end-to-end accountability for all assigned processes for India office — manage the inputs, execute the work, and stand behind the outputs
- Roll up your sleeves when the work demands it: model, analyze, reconcile, and review alongside the team rather than delegating exclusively
- Enforce reporting deadlines; proactively surface risks and blockers before they affect delivery
- Drive continuous process improvement — identify inefficiencies, design solutions, and implement changes that reduce manual effort and increase reliability
- Serve as the senior point of contact for assigned processes; resolve issues locally before escalating, and raise blockers early with full context
Reporting & Analysis
- Oversee and contribute to monthly and quarterly operational reporting to Revantage leadership and department heads, including variance analysis that is complete, contextualized, and presentation-ready
- Support the annual budget and forecast cycle — coordinate India office inputs, maintain version control, and prepare supporting analysis for leadership review
- Manage Anaplan-related processes including time tracking oversight, end-user issue resolution, and data integrity validation
- Support ad hoc analysis and special projects at the request of Revantage leadership or Blackstone
Stakeholder Partnership & Communication
- Operate with full availability during agreed cross-office overlap hours to ensure real-time responsiveness during active forecast and close cycles
- Communicate proactively — provide status updates, flag risks early, and confirm completion before signing off each day
- Build trusted working relationships with FP&A counterparts in other offices as a collaborative peer, not a downstream executor
Participate in cross-functional coordination with Finance, HR, Accounting, and Technology as required
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Provide senior-level guidance and coaching to junior team members on assigned processes; share expertise and raise the standard of work
- Review and sign off on all team outputs before submission; own the quality bar, not just the delivery timeline
- Build independence on recurring processes so the team can execute reliably without external intervention
- Mentor junior analysts on technical skills, process discipline, and stakeholder communication
- Coordinate workload across concurrent deadlines and flag capacity constraints proactively
What You Bring To The Role
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is a compulsory requirement
- 10+ years of progressive, relevant experience in FP&A and financial reporting
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior analysts and setting quality standards for team output
- Demonstrated ability to function as a senior working process owner — setting the standard, doing the work, and owning the output end-to-end
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights
- Anaplan budgeting and planning experience
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills; able to discuss financial results confidently with business leaders
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, cross-time-zone environment
- Consistent follow-through on commitments: all deliverables completed or status confirmed before each day’s sign-off
- Proactive communication style — surfaces risks early, confirms task completion, and escalates only true exceptions
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Anaplan, Smartview/Essbase, Alteryx, Workday, and/or Power BI
- Prior experience working in a global operating model with stakeholders across multiple time zones
- Exposure to Blackstone portfolio company environments or comparable PE/real estate financial services context
