ROLE SUMMARY
This is an exciting opportunity to join the US Hematology and Endocrinology franchise, one of the most rapidly growing businesses across US Commercial Division. The franchise comprises three distinct therapeutic areas including Pfizer’s long-standing presence in Endocrinology and rare bleeding disorders with Hemophilia and Sickle Cell Disease.
The US Hematology and Endocrinology Portfolio and Strategy Lead will serve a critical role for the US Hematology and Endocrinology franchise, shaping strategy and maximizing performance across a diverse and dynamic portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to drive impact across a portfolio spanning every stage of the brand lifecycle; from early-launch growth brands (Hympavzi, Ngenla), to mature core brands (Factor, Genotropin), to osivelotor, our pipeline asset in development for Sickle Cell Disease. This role will be responsible to define the strategic vision, advance key franchise imperatives, and inform portfolio planning and resource allocation to ensure short and long-term success of the franchise. The lead will also manage the operational agenda and performance reporting for the franchise team. The role will require close collaboration with the brand leads, their marketing teams and cross-functional partners to enable effective portfolio planning and execution across the entire franchise.
This position requires commercial expertise, strategic acumen, strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on executional excellence and exceptional communication. The successful candidate should be a self-starter with proven track record of exceptional enterprise leadership and cross-functional collaboration, demonstrating ability to prioritize and operate with high agility to set up the franchise team for success.
Reporting to the VP, US Rare Hematology & Endocrinology Franchise Lead, the Portfolio and Strategy Lead will serve as a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team, elevate team effectiveness and act as a champion of team culture.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead portfolio strategy, planning, and execution. Partner with brand leads, their marketing teams and cross-functional partners to enable focus on executional excellence and delivery of financial and operational targets
• Identify strategic initiatives to advance franchise priorities and unlock portfolio growth. Lead identified strategic initiatives from inception to delivery, establishing effective work groups, delivery plans, performance metrics and execution
• Own performance reporting and coordination in partnership with Finance and IIS leads, including monthly financial performance updates and senior leadership updates
• Identify key performance trends and drivers, data, competitive intelligence and customer insights to inform brand planning, development of portfolio goals and key performance indicators. Collaborate with enablement partners in development of structured frameworks and metric based dashboards
• Identify drivers/barriers of performance in partnership with leadership and cross-functional partners and develop mitigation strategies to address performance gaps
• Guide development of Strategic and Operating Plans, financial planning, quarterly earnings submissions and responses to other leadership/investor relations requests
• Optimize resource allocation across franchise assets and functions in partnership with the Hem Endo leadership team and customer-facing leads
• Advance the AI, marketing transformation and innovation efforts for the franchise in close collaboration with cross-functional partners and CMO
• Play a key role in US Hem Endo leadership team and elevate franchise team effectiveness through planning of LT offsites, team offsites, and identification and planning of purpose-built all hands meetings and trainings
• Act as a champion of team culture by cultivating growth and development, key capabilities and culture initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry, commercial or healthcare consulting experience required
• Previous US marketing experience strongly preferred
• Rare disease or specialty experience preferred
• BA/BS degree required, MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable
• Proven track record in developing, executing and measuring complex marketing programs that drive performance
• Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate whitespace and complex stakeholder maps to develop novel solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to identify key customer insights and translate into actionable strategies
• Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
• Strong people and/or matrix management and influencing skills even without direct reporting relationships
• Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high energy environment
• Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment
• Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $189,200.00 to $315,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
