Technical Service Specialist | Medellín, Colombia
Position Overview
The Technical Service Specialist will play an important role in delivering high-quality field service support to our customers and distributors in Colombia.
This position will be responsible for field service activities including equipment installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and technical support. The Technical Service Specialist will also provide technical service training to customers and distributors while ensuring service activities are performed in accordance with LivaNova procedures, quality standards and service-level expectations.
The role requires a strong customer-service mindset, technical expertise, ownership and the ability to work effectively across functions.
Key Responsibilities
Perform field service activities, including installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment upgrades, troubleshooting and technical support.
Manage service orders, customer complaints and service calls, ensuring accurate documentation, timely follow-up and compliance with SLA requirements.
Prepare technical service quotations, manage spare parts orders and monitor inventory levels in coordination with the Import team.
Maintain an organized and efficient service workshop in accordance with 5S principles.
Support the implementation and management of the HLM service contract portfolio, including new service packages and differentiated contract options.
Monitor service performance indicators and ensure all relevant service data is recorded accurately and on time.
Partner with Quality and other cross-functional teams to improve service procedures, support SOP implementation and drive continuous improvement.
Provide technical service training and support to customers and distributors as required.
Skills and Experience
Technical degree in Electrical, Electronics or a related technical field.
Previous field service experience, ideally supporting medical devices or other complex technical equipment.
Hands-on experience with equipment installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple service priorities.
Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work effectively with customers, distributors and cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently in the field and take ownership of service activities.
Advanced English proficiency is required.
Availability to travel approximately 75% of the time, primarily within Colombia.
