Principal Engineer System Application Engineering Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Reference and Evaluation Hardware Design Architect and design, component selection and schematic capture of MCU based robust motor drive hardware, PFC, high-power inverters(MOSFET/IGBT/GaN/SiC), gate drivers, sensing circuitry (current,voltage, position), etc. PCB Layout using tools such as Cadence Allegro(Preferred) or Altium Designer Board Bring-Up & Hardware Testing Lead prototype bring-up, system bench testing, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis of the system. Motor Control System Validation Integrate hardware boards with motor control firmware and physical motors (BLDC and PMSM) on dynamo meter test benches. Work with FW engineers to validate total system dynamics. Technical Leadership (for Principle Engineer role) Lead design reviews, author clear technical specifications and test documentation, and mentor junior and mid-level hardware engineers. Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Bachelor’s or Master’s/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field with 8+ years of hands-on experience designing motor drive hardware and high-power electronic circuits. Deep understanding of 3-phase inverter topologies, gate driver design, field-oriented control (FOC) hardware dependencies, and current sensing methodologies (shunt vs. Hall/LEM), and experience with wide-bandgap (WBG) semiconductors (GaN or SiC) is preferred. Proven track record of high power PCB layouts. Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC troubleshooting is an added advantage. Basic understanding of MCU and FW to aid in collaborative debugging. #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
