Description

At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. But that’s just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known.

Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven’t been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you’re in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we’re writing together. Now is a unique moment in time where it’s early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.

The Integration Test Specialist will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and execution of testing engine subassemblies, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards prior to full engine test. The Manufacturing Test Specialist is responsible for developing and authoring test processes/specifications. This will include working with Sub-Assemblies, Fluids, Pneumatics, and Avionics.  This position requires in-depth knowledge of test procedures, aerospace hardware, and safety procedures. People in this role will have knowledge of CAD, in depth familiarity with GD&T, and experience acceptance testing and qualifying hardware to meet customer and mission requirements.

About the Role:

  • Support component level test operations on actuators/EMA’s, including mechanical, fluid, electrical, pneumatics and avionics systems plus other testing as required.
  • Plan, co-author, and execute component test procedures for development, and acceptance campaigns in collaboration with department test engineering.
  • Collaborate with department test engineering on test readiness activities including configuration verification, GSE coordination, instrumentation setup, and pre-test walkdowns.
  • Identify and mitigate hazards across multi-system component environments to ensure safe and efficient test operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Test teams to troubleshoot issues, drive resolution, and improve integration processes.

About You:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle integration, aerospace testing, launch vehicle operations, or complex mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Experience authoring and executing detailed test procedures in a high-consequence environment.
  • Strong understanding of multi-system integration including fluid systems, electrical power distribution, instrumentation, and controls.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of test safety, hazardous energy control, and structured risk mitigation practices.
  • Ability to plan complex operations and execute with discipline while adapting to dynamic test environments.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Associate’s degree or trade certification in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting vehicle-level test operations such as proof, leak, functional, cryogenic, or integrated system testing.
  • Familiarity with aerospace test standards (e.g., MIL-STD-1540, MIL-STD-810, or equivalent).
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, controls hardware, or automated test systems.
