Position Information
We are seeking a Research Scientist, who under general supervision, designs, performs, and analyzes experiments. Mentors students on analyzing and preparing data results.
Job Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for conducting complex independent research into their field of expertise.
- Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills granted to them by their education and experience to complete research projects in their field of expertise.
- Analyzes research data and summarizes results.
- Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications.
- Assists with grant acquisition.
- May assist student researchers, Postdoctoral Research Associates, Assistant Research Scientists, and/or Associate Research Scientists who are working on research related to the project.
- May supervise assigned staff and/or students.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- PhD in Agricultural Economics or related field
- Six years of related experience in Conflict and Development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Must be able to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary collaborative team
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Analytical skills
