Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, you as a Master Scheduler will be responsible for managing and coordinating the production planning and scheduling process to ensure the availability of materials, production capacity, and demand information required to meet customer delivery commitments. You will optimize inventory levels, resource utilization, and operational performance while working closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Logistics, and Customer Service.
You will develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term production plans, determine production priorities and sequencing, monitor planning and supply chain KPIs, and proactively identify and resolve material and capacity risks. In this role, you will also lead and develop the Planning team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, improve plan accuracy and commitment-date reliability, and participate in ERP, MRP, and planning system implementations and improvements.
About the Job:
Develop, maintain, and execute short-, medium-, and long-term production plans based on customer demand, material availability, production capacity, and operational priorities.
Manage the master production schedule to ensure production priorities and sequencing support customer delivery commitments.
Coordinate with Manufacturing, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics, and Customer Service to align production plans and resolve constraints.
Monitor material availability and proactively identify supply risks that could impact production continuity or customer deliveries.
Partner with Purchasing and Materials teams to resolve material shortages, supply constraints, and other risks affecting production.
Manage and optimize WIP and Finished Goods inventory levels in alignment with business and customer requirements.
Analyze production capacity and resource availability to identify constraints and develop mitigation plans.
Support demand and capacity management through MPS, MRP, and S&OP/SIOP processes.
Improve production plan accuracy and the reliability of customer commitment dates.
Monitor and report Planning and Supply Chain KPIs, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning effectiveness, inventory optimization, capacity utilization, and operational performance.
Participate in ERP, MRP, and production planning system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
Lead, coach, and develop the Planning team by establishing objectives, performance metrics, and individual development plans.
Coordinate cross-functional escalations, both internal and external, related to production planning, materials, capacity, and customer commitments.
Use data and analytical tools to support decision-making and develop effective solutions to planning and supply chain challenges.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between demand, production, materials, capacity, and customer requirements.
Exercise authority to stop any process or activity that does not comply with applicable quality, safety, health, environmental, or ethical requirements.

About You:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in discrete manufacturing, electronics, electrical, automotive, or industrial industries.
Experience with Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and S&OP/SIOP processes.
Strong experience in production planning, scheduling, and capacity management.
Experience managing materials, inventory levels, WIP, and Finished Goods.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and participating in system implementations or process improvements.
Experience leading or developing a Planning team, including setting objectives, metrics, and development plans.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Strong understanding of production planning, supply chain, capacity, inventory, and manufacturing processes.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Logistics, Customer Service, and other stakeholders.
Strategic and tactical planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong continuous improvement mindset and ability to identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, inventory, capacity utilization, and operational performance.
Conversational English required.
Strong escalation management and cross-functional coordination skills.
Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and effectively manage competing priorities.
