As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol in Ronkonkoma, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist visitors, staff, and community members with professionalism. You will support access control procedures, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site personnel. - Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government social services location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and public areas, following established procedures for entry, identification, and incident reporting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
