Janitorial Technician

MMI Engineered Solutions is looking for a reliable and self-motivated Janitor Technician team member to help keep our facility clean, safe, organized, and operating efficiently. This position will perform general janitorial duties while also supporting basic facility maintenance and preventative maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is comfortable working independently, and can effectively manage changing priorities throughout the day.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas throughout the facility.

• Empty and maintain trash and recycling receptacles.

• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of both interior and exterior areas.

• Support facility maintenance activities and preventative maintenance tasks.

• Identify facility issues and coordinate with appropriate contractors for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building-related needs.

• Assist with maintaining an organized, safe, and presentable work environment.

• Support additional cleaning and facility-related needs as assigned by Manufacturing Engineering/Facilities leadership.

• Provide guidance and communicate facility concerns or maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial, facilities, maintenance, or related experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment.

• Excellent follow-through and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to facility needs as they arise.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work safely in and around a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment & Expectations:

• This is a hands-on, onsite position within a manufacturing facility.

• Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all four seasons.

• The manufacturing environment may be hot, noisy, and dirty.

• Position requires frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.

• Must be able to safely climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must maintain awareness of surroundings when working in active manufacturing areas.

• Must follow all company safety procedures and requirements.
