What You'll Do:
As the Accounts Payable Processing Clerk, you will be a part of a new Finance Shared Services Satellite team reporting into the Accounting Manager based in Tokyo.
You will be responsible for processing and paying our suppliers in Japan and Korea (North Asia) and will serve as a backup for other entities in APAC. Working in an international SOX compliant environment, you will handle vendor and internal queries, invoice processing, payment runs, and closing.
What you’ll do
Ensure timely invoice processing, taking into consideration all period closing deadlines
Ensure data accuracy for invoices processing (GL accounts, cost centers, payment terms, bank details) and payment runs
Flag areas for correction with relevant teams
Invoice booking problem solving, dealing with all invoice disputes in timely manner
Vendor accounts cleaning (direct debits, down payments, debit/credit balances)
Educate external suppliers and internal stakeholders on processes and procedures
Prepare payment proposals on a timely manner and according to the Treasury calendar
Ensure that all suppliers are paid on time as per agreed payment terms
Communication with the Purchasing Center as required to clarify position on Purchase Orders and approvals
Provide excellent service to all external and internal correspondents
Who You Are:
Minimum 1 year of Accounts Payable experience in a similar environment
Good level of written and oral Japanese and English (Korean language a plus)
Experience of working in a SOX Environment with good working knowledge of SAP and Readsoft
Highly organized and autonomous
Curious, Dynamic, and Flexible approach to work
