Description

The Auditor's Office has an opening for the position of Office Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Participating as a member of the Auditor’s Office leadership and management teams including strategic planning, systems analysis, program evaluation, budget preparation, cost estimating, and problem solving activities.
Managing the Auditor’s Office website, including layout and web content.
Providing graphic design services in design and preparation of publications and presentations, such as election voters’ pamphlets, Auditor’s Annual Report, Candidate Filing Guide, training materials and programmatic handouts.
Providing support to all areas of the office as needed, including assisting with Elections tasks, indexing historical documents, mailing renewals and answering telephones.
Responding to Public Disclosure requests and backing up the Payroll Clerk.
This position is by special appointment of the County Auditor and serves at the sole discretion of the Auditor. Exercises independent judgment and discretion and maintains absolute confidentiality in keeping with this special Elected Official’s appointment.

Education and Experience
Associate’s degree in business administration, office administration, public administration, or a related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative, office coordination, or office management experience involving public contact, records management, preparation of written materials, and administrative support, or a high school diploma or GED and six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative, office coordination, clerical, or office management experience.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position may be considered. Experience may substitute for education and education may substitute for experience when appropriate. Substitution does not apply where a specific degree, license, or certification is required by law, regulation, or professional standards.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Depending on assignment, obtain and maintain a valid Notary Public commission throughout employment.
Depending on assignment, complete required training on applicable cash handling policies, procedures, and internal controls within one (1) week of employment.
Authorize and successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
Must pass job-related tests.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in local government/public administration.
Experience supporting management teams, elected officials, or multiple professionals.
Experience with financial systems, human resources information systems, website administration, records management systems, desktop publishing, database management, or integrated business systems.
Experience developing procedures, workflows, training materials, or public communications.
