Your role at Clorox:

The Sr. Quality Specialist – Global Quality Assurance Audits supports the execution and continuous improvement of Clorox's Global Quality Assurance Audit Program across internal manufacturing sites, external manufacturers, suppliers, warehouses, service providers, and licensing partners. This role is responsible for coordinating audit activities, conducting QMS system audits, reviewing audit documentation, evaluating corrective actions, and maintaining audit records within the electronic Global Quality Management System (Intelex). The position partners with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely audit execution, consistent application of audit standards, and effective follow-up of audit findings to strengthen enterprise quality and compliance.

In this role, you will:

You will make a global impact on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement by partnering across the enterprise to execute and strengthen our audit programs.

Global Audit Execution & Coordination

  • Prepare audit documentation, agendas, reports, and supporting materials.
  • Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within established timelines; audit report technical review.
  • Support audit readiness activities across the enterprise.
  • Support annual audit scheduling and planning activities.
  • Coordinate and conduct Corporate Quality Assurance Capability (QAC) audits, independently or as part of an audit team, at internal manufacturing sites, external manufacturers, suppliers, warehouses, service providers, and licensing partners.
  • National and International travel required, estimated 40%-50% travel annually; may vary with business needs.

Corrective Action Management & Audit Follow-up

  • Monitor audit findings and corrective action plans through closure.
  • Follow up with business partners and suppliers to ensure timely completion of commitments.
  • Verify objective evidence supporting corrective actions.
  • Escalate overdue or high-risk findings to leadership.
  • Maintain audit records and supporting documentation within Intelex.

Audit Program Administration & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain audit metrics, dashboards, and program documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of audit templates, procedures, and reporting tools.
  • Assist with audit calibration activities to promote scoring consistency.
  • Identify recurring findings and support trend analysis.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives that strengthen audit effectiveness.
  • Train other responsible parties on Intelex usage.
  • Become Trainer for the Clorox Quality Systems Elements course and/or other internal courses, as assigned.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Customer Support

  • Partner with Business Unit Quality, Procurement, External Operations, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, supplier contacts, and third-party audit resources.
  • Provide guidance on audit requirements, scoring methodology, and corrective action expectations.
  • Represent the audit program in project meetings, as assigned.
  • Support compliance with Corporate Global Quality Standards, GMP, ISO, GFSI, FSMA, FDA, HACCP, MoCRA, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure audit documentation meets enterprise governance expectations
  • Provide support to Sr. Manager, Global Quality Assurance Audits, as needed.

What we look for:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 plus years of experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Auditing within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience conducting supplier, manufacturing, or quality system audits.
  • Experience managing corrective actions and audit documentation.
  • Experience in Food, Cosmetics, or other regulated consumer products.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, GMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of auditing principles and corrective action processes.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze audit findings and identify risk trends.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and eQMS platforms.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 50% annually.

Preferred

  • Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ CQA) or similar certification.
  • Experience using Intelex or other eQMS platforms.
  • Experience supporting enterprise audit programs.
  • Knowledge of risk-based auditing principles.
  • Experience with audit reporting and performance metrics.
  • Continuous improvement experience using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Multi-lingual

Physical Requirements

Must be physically capable of:

  • Climbing stairs
  • Sitting and walking multiple hours at a time
  • Lifting and carrying 10-20 lbs. on occasion

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


    –Zone A: $90,900 - $170,100

    –Zone B: $83,400 - $155,900

    –Zone C: $75,800 - $141,700
