Role profile: 

LSEG is in the process of launching and developing new Post Trade services which expand beyond the traditional core clearing businesses. 

As part of the effort to launch new products and services within the new Post Trade Division, LSEG is seeking to hire a Product Director, based in London, to develop and implement new services within the existing Equities OTC business. 

The ideal candidate will have detailed Equities OTC derivatives knowledge, product ownership and change management experience and should be familiar and experienced delivering within Agile frameworks 

Key responsibilities of the role: 

Contribute to product strategy for the Equities business, initially focusing on fund level allocation processes, including customer engagement, solution design, roadmap planning in collaboration with other senior stakeholders and the Business Leads, the candidate will help drive the commercial success of Product through customer adoption and pricing   

  • Drives and maintains product strategy and design for fund level allocation service for equity derivative allocations as part of wider Equity TradeAgent strategy 
  • Contributes to the vision and devising business plans for budgetary approval and product roadmaps with business leads  
  • Contributes to project delivery teams, providing direction on scope, approach and go-to-market tactics.  
  • Contributes to formulate go-to-market strategies with business lead and sales org to successfully launch products  
  • Develops a client training plan for product workflows 
  • Conducts research on market evolution, client requirements and strategies 
  • Works closely across divisions to market and manage new products 
  • Responsible to help develop, mentor and coach colleagues to enhance the overall capability in the business and fostering the talent within the function 

Crucial experience and skills required: 

Asset Classes 

  • Detailed understanding and experience of OTC equity derivatives market, market infrastructure & contract life-cycle 
  • Detailed knowledge of fund level allocation workflows 

Network Connectivity  

  • Understanding of key market integrations; FIX, JSON, FPML, SFTP 
  • Experience of how to create models that can successfully scale to handle significant data sets and evolve with client needs  
  • Experience of implementing data management services that can transform high-volume of bespoke data in a sustainable method  

Decision making 

  • Selects between two or more alternatives proficiently by gathering information to reach the best outcome in the shortest amount of time

Problem solving  

  • Defines a problem and evaluates and identifies the best solution to overcome the problem 

Stakeholder management  

  • Builds trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their drivers and negotiate positive outcomes​ 
  • Partners closely with TradeAgent Equity business team to ensure strategy is aligned and executed. 

Product development lifecycle  

  • Has experience of taking Products through their development lifecycle from idea generation to bringing a product to market 
  • Experience running product design working groups to capture detailed requirements with industry partners 

Relationship building  

  • Interacts well with others, quickly establishing rapport building positive relationships and networks within existing TradeAgent Equities team 

Competitor knowledge  

  • Remaining up to date in the marketplace we operate in, gathering data on competitors and analyses their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution 

Customer knowledge  

  • For all the participant types that operate in the Equities business has a knowledge of their organization structure, business strategy and challenges, product/service offerings, key leaders and industry 

Strategic thinking  

  • Has a broad, big-picture view of the organisation and its mission to innovate through analysis of issues and trends and how these link to responsibilities, capabilities and potential of the organisation

  • Directs and leads others, coordinating activities and providing encouragement and inspiration to help others succeed

  • Trains, develops and mentors colleagues to maximise their potential, develop their skills, and improve their performance 

Project planning & delivery  

  • Demonstrates the discipline of planning, organising and managing resources and activities to achieve specified outcomes within a clearly defined timeframe and standards. 
  • Supports analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work in support of technology product development 

Initiative 

  • Identifies what needs to be done and takes appropriate action without waiting to be asked; is a self-starter.  

Ideal experience 

  • Significant experience in Global fund level allocations processes, with understanding of data flows, key risks and stakeholder priorities 
  • Experience in building a successful network across swap providers, hedge funds and asset managers.   
  • Leadership roles in Operations or middle-office area, institutional investment manager, clearing organisation, or Fintech 
  • Delivery of significant programs of work to both internal and external clients 
  • Understanding of existing other Post Trade OTC trade processes including relevant market infrastructure and OTC Equity Derivatives are especially relevant
