Covering offices in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Englewood and Wellen Park

The MRI & CT Radiology Services Specialist supports the daily operations of the MRI and CT departments by assisting technologists, preparing patients for imaging procedures, maintaining equipment and exam rooms, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment. This role serves as a liaison between patients, radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare staff to facilitate high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The Radiology Services Specialist is responsible for transporting patients, conducting basic patient preparation activities, verifying documentation, monitoring supplies, and supporting adherence to MRI and CT safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients throughout the imaging process.
• Escort and transport patients safely to and from imaging areas.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure equipment is ready for patient procedures.
• Assist MRI and CT technologists with patient positioning and workflow as directed.
• Complete MRI safety screening documentation and verify patient questionnaires.
• Provide patients with information regarding exam preparation and expectations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging suites and patient care areas.
• Stock and monitor supplies, linens, and contrast-related materials.
• Assist with scheduling coordination and patient flow management.
• Ensure compliance with MRI safety zones, infection prevention standards, and departmental policies.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and report concerns to the technologist or supervisor.
• Assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous healthcare, radiology, or patient care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required within established timeframe.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of MRI and CT safety practices preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and transport patients and equipment safely.

Compensation Range:

$16.20

to

$25.65

 

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
