JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The College of Medicine, Department of Molecular and Precision Medicine, Mills lab is seeking applicants for part-time job of Research Support.
Job duties to include:
- Conduct studies focused on recruitment of stem cells in tumorigenesis, including investigating the signaling mechanisms that are involved in how cells change state in programs such as paligenosis
- Assist with mouse breeding to sustain colonies for these experiments
- Harvest and prepare tissue for mRNA, protein, and histological analyses
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in molecular or cell biology, or related field
- 8-10 years laboratory experience working in cell biology research
- Record of experience presenting and publishing scientific findings
- At least 2 years of experience working with mouse colonies for research, including handling, propagation, and maintenance
Schedule:
- Up to 24 hrs/week
- Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend hours

Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $16.00.
