STRUCTR Advisors is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join our team as Senior Mechanical Commissioning Manager. This leadership role is responsible for growing our commissioning practice, providing technical expertise in MEP systems, developing client relationships, and supporting strategic business growth. The successful candidate will lead project delivery efforts across commissioning, energy analysis, and building systems consulting services while mentoring staff and driving technical excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead proposal development, client presentations, project interviews, and contract negotiations.
· Oversee commissioning projects from design review through project closeout.
· Serve as a trusted advisor to owners, architects, contractors, and facility operators.
· Identify and drive business development efforts, including proposals, client meetings, and strategic growth initiatives.
· Provide technical expertise related to HVAC, electrical, BAS, and building systems performance.
· Support project teams with troubleshooting, analysis, and commissioning coordination.
· Maintain and enhance commissioning standards, processes, and quality expectations.
· Mentor and develop a growing team of commissioning and engineering professionals.
· Support construction teams in achieving commissioning objectives while providing practical MEP guidance and problem-solving expertise.
· Serve as a recognized technical and industry expert representing STRUCTR Advisors in the marketplace.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (required).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in commissioning, MEP engineering, building systems, facility operations, engineering consulting, or construction.
• Proven success leading complex projects, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality technical services.
• Demonstrated business development experience with a track record of growing client accounts and expanding service offerings.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience leading and mentoring technical professionals.
• Ability to travel periodically to support projects, client meetings, and business development activities.
• Ability to work from the office and collaborate closely with internal teams.
Preferred Professional Certifications:
Candidates must possess a PE license and hold one or more of the following industry-recognized credentials:
· Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)
· Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP)
· Existing Building Commissioning Professional (EBCP)
· LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
· Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
