At Caravelo, we are revolutionizing the travel industry with subscription-based solutions that help airlines and travel companies unlock new revenue streams while enhancing customer loyalty. Our SaaS platform enables seamless subscription management, dynamic pricing, and automation, helping airlines transition from traditional ticket sales to more sustainable, customer-centric models.
With a team of passionate innovators, engineers, and industry experts, we are building the future of travel technology. Headquartered in Barcelona, we operate globally, partnering with some of the world’s leading airlines to drive digital transformation and create frictionless, modern travel experiences.
The mission
Everything we build for our clients passes through Professional Services before it reaches production. This role sits at that gate. You'll join the Professional Services team, reporting to the Director of Professional Services.
You will be the person who tests every change in sandbox before it gets merged, and gives the verdict on it — either it's clean and ready to go, or it isn't and here is exactly what's wrong. You'll also keep control of what each release contains, and on release day check that production behaves as expected once the deployment is live. It's a hands-on technical role: you'll read code, query the database, poke at APIs, chase errors through logs, and build your own tooling to make the work faster.
The point of the internship isn't to run through a checklist someone else wrote. It's to end up genuinely understanding how the product works end to end — which is one of the most useful things you can learn early in a career in tech.
You'll get full visibility of how a B2B SaaS product gets built, tested and shipped to enterprise clients, with real responsibility from early on — you're the quality gate before anything reaches a client. Expect direct mentoring from the Director of Professional Services and close work with engineering, product and the client-facing teams, plus freedom to explore how AI can make your own work faster and space to try out ideas for improving how the team operates.
Duties and responsibilities
Testing and quality
Pick up every ticket the moment it moves to In testing and test it in sandbox: functional and visual changes alike, verifying that they work as intended while building a solid understanding of the underlying product flows
Give the verdict on each ticket — whether it's clean and ready to be merged to master, or, when it isn't, a precise and reproducible description of what fails
Run end-to-end tests across the product to confirm that complete user journeys still work correctly
Releases
Keep control of what each release contains and make sure everything in it has passed testing, so nothing untested slips out
On release day, run exploratory testing in production once the deployment is live, to confirm the real environment behaves as the sandbox did
Investigation and support
Monitor logs to catch errors early, and investigate root causes when one slips through
Review backend data directly in the database
Understand how our payment gateways operate and track transactions through the system
Tooling
Use AI to build your own tools (eg for testing, for registration flows, for whatever slows you down) so your daily work gets faster over time
Required skills and experience
This is a first job, and we're hiring for it as such. We don't expect professional experience — we expect curiosity, care and enough technical grounding to get going.
Must have:
Enough programming grounding to follow a codebase with AI as your guide: you won't be writing code, but you should be able to ask Claude what a piece of Java or Vue does, understand the answer, and tell when it doesn't add up
Comfortable with Postman and working with APIs
Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright and Selenium
SQL and database knowledge; Couchbase or other NoSQL experience is a plus
Familiarity with Git, enough to find your way around branches, commits and diffs when investigating an issue
Able to write things down clearly, so that someone else can follow your notes and reproduce what you found
A strong grasp of AI tools and, more importantly, good judgement about when and how to apply them
The instinct to dig into why something broke rather than just reporting that it did
English at a professional working level
Good to have:
You've automated something repetitive with a script before, for a job, for a class or just for yourself
You find payments, billing or subscription products interesting — you don't need to have worked on them
You've come across CI/CD pipelines and roughly know what they're for
